Shrinking anemone

I would get a different mg test kit , I’ve heard multiple problems with the new mg Hanna being inaccurate and I don’t see anything wrong with the nem , the tentacles change shape all the time

The Hannah checker is fine. The problem usually comes with an inaccurate titration process or not following the directions precisely.

Unlikely the Hannah test itself is inaccurate. However, the complexity of the process of measuring out the 2 reagents and the instructions warning against even a trace amount of reagent on the syringe probably means it is easy to CREATE an inaccurate result.

I'm having the same issue with my rose bubble tip anemone. I have had it for a month and it has shrunk more than half in size and the tentacles have shrunk by more than half. Also I have some brown algae on the sand bed.

My parameters are:
0.5 phos
2.5 nitrate
9.3 DKH
1470 MG
475 CA
7.8 PH

I am using the Ai 13 not HD version. Would be grateful if someone can help me with my current issue.

Parameters look fine except ph try to bump it up to 8.0 to 8.3. I’ve been feeding mine every 3 days now and it seems to be making some progress towards recovering its old size

Maybe just let them do Thier thing, if no notable changes in your aquarium happend then I would avoid changing and messing around which will effect others, maybe it's over feed (we feed more thinking it's lack of food instinctively, first thing we do is feed)
Give it a couple of days or a week to find itself .
Just my opinion

Is that phosphate 0.5 ppm or 0.05 ppm?

So not sure if anyone is gonna see this, but feeding seems to be the key in this situation. I started feeding every 3 days or so and the the bubble tips of my anemone have been progressively getting bigger. Not like massively bigger but something along the lines of an 1/8th of an inch to 1/4th of an inch.

What did you feed it?
