Sick Naso in QT

Okay I should have read the full thread sorry!

I would watch carefully as said. Hopefully it's lymph as many times lymph materializes this way. Naso are strange as they get growths on their bodies perhaps lymph more frequently than other tangs -- also tend to discolor constantly with even light stress which leads to how noticeable it is.

Good luck, friend!

Thank you bud! I know you know your tangs!

He doesn't look horrible wouldn't treating the issue with Prazipro and copper then worry about feeding be the right course of action? As a fish starving to death is a less of a concern then a infection/ich/velvet taking over?
Not really....copper treatment is a 30 day treatment...and sometimes fish are a little reluctant to eat while first being introduced into copper.

I completely agree with the live food if garlic doesn't work. I personally do live brine, very easy to hatch. All you need is saltwater, a hatchery or you can make one using 2 2 litter pop bottles and an air pump...it usually takes me 2 days to hatch them due to no heater or light on top to heat the water some...

Can you recommend a good hatchery?

I can not reccomend one. I have never used one. Thought it a waste of money when I can do the same with my own made for less than 10$. My friend has one he got from a store and has had no success rate with hatching them...he even gave me his eggs to try and in two days I had shrimp

I ordered me a hatchery.

I had best luck with feeding live macro like grape caulerpa or ulva. After 3 weeks she finally ate that, and I'd lean more towards lympho than crypto,,

Rev, I fed my new tangs live macro as well - grape caulerpa, ulva and gracilaria. My blonde naso was very skittish the first two weeks and wouldn't eat prepared foods or live brine. She took to the live macro quickly.

Good place to order?

Ordered some stuff today.

But the Naso started picking at the frozen food tonight. :)

I'm about 100% that he's got Lympho. It's pretty harmless. The other spots don't appear to be ICH. They definitely don't look like velvet either. That one spot looks like a fluke. I'd try to blow him off with a turkey baster first and then if that doesn't come off...FW dip him followed by Prazipro and some mild CP at 40mg maybe even less to control it if it does turn out to be ICH. If that fish is fat, I wouldn't worry too much about treatment. If it's skinny...i've had fish die in only 3 days from lack of food. I'd try to hold any harsh treatment if he's skinny until you get him eating. Garlic guard may help.
