So the boss makes my filter socks so I can throw them away instead of washing them. Felt is bought anywhere you can buy fabrics. I'll post video in a minute.

So 2 yards of felt made me 18 socks. For 8 bucks. That's pretty cheap! Even if I use 3 a week I'll still get 6 weeks for 8 bucks.
 
There's a second video coming to show how I use them in my sump.
 
Anyone see anything they don't like? Lol. I'm always game for improving my habits.
 
Comments? Good? Bad? Seems to work well for me. I know my videos are not great but does it show enough to understand the process?

Nice! What material is that? I've been considering taking out the filter wool and making my own for a while.
 
I've made my own also for at least six months now. Works like a charm, saves me the headache of cleaning them and a lot of money :)

Anything that's eco friendly. So basically your just looking for something that has no chemicals added to the materials. Nothing that would be like a mold inhibitor or color that can come off the felt and go into your water.
