Meredith or Humble...been talking to guys on the fish forum...my angel is flashing some around the mouth on a shell, spending time in the back of the rock pile and seems to be spending time near to one of the power heads sort of shimmering back and forth...there are no signs to see on his body so far...they thought it may be flukes...I have PraziPro and is it safe in this fowlr because it will be hard to get him out without removing everything...can do if I need to...so what do you guys think...he's in with mostly fish, shrimp, hermits and an urchin...thanks...Ken:confused:With the actinic only, he is staying right in the flow of a powerhead...trying to get rid of something...anxious to try prazi if I can...

This right here makes me - unfortunately- suspect velvet is in play here. It's something that usually only happens with velvet. You can dose prazi safely in the display, but I fear what might happen if you wait until the prazi has 24 hours to do it's work to find out if that was the problem.
If you can catch just one of your fish and give it a freshwater dip, that should tell us if flukes are in play or not. if you want to do prazi, do it right now and see if the angel stops the behavior. Though, the FW dip would tell us the same thing but much faster.

I was about to say.... you're asking the most math-challenged person to do a conversion for you? LOL  Glad you got it figured out. :D

my wife figured it out...I'm more math challenged than you...be wrong, be wrong...
My QT is a little bit not quite up to snuff...some ammonia...a water change may do it, but can I treat copper with ammo lock...do I need to treat every fish (Oh, God)...

don't use the ammo lock in combination with copper. If it ends up being velvet, then yes... you have to get all the fish out and treat everybody. Fallow period is 6 weeks for velvet.

What do I do...all those fish in my 20...I have CP...but that's a lot of fish...take out the inverts and treat the big tank...

is CP safe for a DT fwolr?

Not for the inverts that are there. I don't know if the rock will absorb it like it would with copper and there is no real way to measure it.

You might ask around and see if anybody has a 40 breeder or something to treat them in?

gotcha...does every fish need to come out of the DT...I know all the theory...but jeeze...the Kole already had it months ago, the chromies and everyone seems fine, the niger, the bf...anyone immune to velvet?...you want a video of him first...would it help or are we sure...?

In addition to killing most corals/inverts, CP would likely be biodegraded in a DT with rock & sand: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/qt-and-biofilm.292878/

Yes, they can build up immunity if exposed and it does not kill them. However, one must then assume that fish is a carrier, capable of infecting other fish without protective immunity. o_O

I'm in a bad spot...my QT is 20g...not much for that many fish...worried about ammonia...my main source for cycling is live rock...should I put in the angel and see what happens with the others...when should I notice problems...Oh, god...I'm careful, but obviously need to up my game QT-wise...don't have a spare larger tank...no access to Dr. Tim or anyone right away...HELP!...miracle?
