lol, dude you are the king of pico mods! A hand blown glass skimmer?? I'd love to see that in action.

Awesome build man! I am in love with that mini fuge/sump!

What kind of WC schedule you on?

Thanks!, I currently do about 3/4 cup a day water change with my diy auto water change system.
the auto water change system consist of using a RKE and two float switches for activation and fail safe deactivation. float switch one (also used for ATO) during a timed delay turns off the ATO and becomes the AWC float switch. One Toms Aqualifter siphons water out of tank through a custom low pressure anti-siphon brake device. this is controlled by a limited time frame. once a specified amount is removed from tank- a second Toms Aqualifter returns fresh salt water to tank. When the float switch is closed- the second Aqualifter turns off. the timed delay returns float switch back to ATO after a specified few minutes. Second float switch is located in the waste water container- this shuts off the auto water removal in event the waste water container reaches a peak level.

Tank is looking great! i like the floor of rics!

The auto WC sounds like a good idea, I have often thought that a very small daily WC might ultimately be the most stable way to WC for nanos. Making it automated sounds like the way to go for consistency. I'd love to see pics of this setup too if you have! :)

I think its a must for the busy person like me. I dont have every day to dedicate to this tank. so, autopilot is the next best thing. I set up the dirty water drain pump to run for 5 minutes. the fresh salt water return pump turns on after 2 minutes of the dirty water drain pump starting. the fresh salt water return pump runs for 6 minutes with an alarm setup on the float switch. float switch automatically shuts off the fresh salt water return pump when desired level is reached if the water level is reached before the timer finishes. this helps prevent changes in salinity. also, the ATO is setup to detect either of the AWC pumps running and shut off while water change is in progress. when final timer elapses, the ATO returns to on duty function.
I got the idea from another reef board- a member perfected the design. only difference, he was using a neptune controller and I am using a DA RKE controller.
