Small bit of blade missing in tank

I would have never known they make scalpels out of stone that beat steel, aka arrowheads but I was looking for excision scalpels and found em online for 300$ apiece, one time use only !!

so its stone but guess the type geologistas

which type of stone is ideal for the worlds sharpest scalpel

Oops! Did not read all the responses so some of this is a repeat of what others said.

You can use something like DBR showed (can put a long glove on it to protect it from water.

What I have done is first, test the metal with a magnet to see what polarity it is (so it actually sticks to the metal and does not repel it).

Then find a small, strong magnet...wrap it in Saran Wrap and seal with a rubber band. Then wrap the rubber band around a piece of rigid airline hose.

I have put a piece of flexible air line hose on the end of the rigid, then attached the magnet to the flexible part. This allows you to feel around under rocks and in caves.

I'm a geologist by trade and did geoarchaeology/anthropology in college, so this is super easy for me. But I'll let the rest have fun with it.

Didn't end up finding it and gave up

Stuck all the rocks back in ,moved some corals about and gave the tank a good clean
Everything seems to be doing good so I'm just gonna forget that it's in there

Also iv had a couple powerheads off for a few days..... Was about to turn them back on when I saw a head pokeing out of one , lucky I looked

It's benny the blenny as my son calls him

Also treated myself to a new coral today ......... Well iv been through a lot in the last couple days haha

It's a nice orange with little bits of pink , lights were dimming so I'll get a pic under whites tomorrow

Someone once asked me what was the value of a ‘work thread’

The value is, if you lose a bit of metal in your tank don’t run for the hills, still true in 2019

Work thread = someone’s tank is on the line to prove something in a live time thread where the outcome isn’t guaranteed but events are updated live time. Either your tank or someone else’s tank is at risk for loss or reward. Work threads are all about testing predictions. assemble many work threads/ find patterns very handy reefing
