New toy showed up today!

Took awhile to set up but it wasn’t too complicated. From the first test it’s been right on point. I tested with a salifert alk test twice and got 8.4 both times.

I keep telling myself I’m going to stop messing with the tank but..... I swear this is the last time!

I wasn’t happy with par levels so I built a floating canopy and bought 2 aquatic life fixtures to compliment my radions.

On this tank I went from a 4 bulb ati fiXture.
To a ati/nanobox hybrid fixture.
Found a sick deal and hopped on the “all led hype train”
Back full circle to a hybrid fixture.

Best part.. after spending a few hours putting it all together by myself one of the ballast in the 48” fixture is bad. ***

Like most people who run T5, I'm sure he jammed 7 Blue+ bulbs in there somehow and soon he'll be complaining about the windex look.

frag tank... 2 xr15's with a 24" aquatic life
display... 2 xr30's with a 48" aquatic life

LOL and then i can go straight led again.. jk im running blue +/ coral+ combo. what would you recommend sir!

Awesome!! :D sounds like a cracking setup!

Blue+/coral+ is a solid combo! I'm a Windex man myself though :p:cool:

Blue+ and Coral+ honestly. Maybe Actinic if you felt you needed more UV.

Could always add the Orphek Blue+ LED bar too. Those are pretty cheap still and have a whole huge range of UV/Violet/Royal Blue. Once we start supplementing our supplements we'll truly be next level.

Alkatronic does it’s job lol

I think everyone is freaking out about alkalinity monitors because it’s the new hype with the trident but really all they do his help the lazy man be more lazy [emoji6]. My alkalinity for the most part stays right at 8.2 and the alka has been spot on. I only test the minimum which is twice a day. When it will truly benefit is when I go out of town for work for months at a time
