He’s able but out of practice. Only positive is he works for me so even though he’s at work I can tell him to go take care of this for me

Quick run to Walmart to clean them out of all there distilled water.

40 gallon water change and by the grace of g** none of my corals are showing stress.... so they say.

I’m interested to see what this tank actually looks like when I do come back

Yeah even if it’s all the same water and plumbed to a mature tank, if you add a new tank to it, it goes through an ugly phase still.

Welp I lost one frag due to the ato dumping in the tank. I’m fine with that it’s better than having a tank full of dead corals. I thought with so much kalk being dumped in the tank I was for sure going to have some serious problems.

I come home for thanksgiving after being away for over a month. The tank actually looked great. Corals are growing and colors were good but Just my luck my my Túnze (less than a month old) decided to fail on me. The optical sensor didn’t read and my alarm was going off. Then I come to this

I only had 3-4 gallons of top off in the reservoir but once again the top off decided to just keep going. I don’t understand how I could have such bad luck with ato’s this past month.

I’m considering drilling my BEAUTIFUL sump to add a float valve to the top off line because at this point I really don’t know what else to do

E-Shopps makes a clamp on adjustable float valve for that purpose. Maybe it can be adapted to your sump without drilling. Glad the animals were all good after the trip.

It’s looking like another month maybe 2 depending on how quickly they clean here. Here’s a few pictures of the neighborhoods we are cleaning up (what’s left of them)

so i am officially home! i was away from the tank for 2+ months and i must say i was pleasantly surprised to see how well the tank truly did. i came back to tank that almost looked better than when i left. most of the corals are showing good growth and i only lost 2 frags in the 2 months. since ive been home ive picked up an additional ecotech xr15 for the frag tank because 1 was just not cutting it and i decided to treat myself for the holidays so i i picked up a few frags after seeing how well the tanks doing.
