So what is your most hated coral?

Everyone does what is your favorite coral threads, I am even guilty of that. But not a lot of people do hated corals. those that gave you a hard time,ugly,invasive pretty much anything that annoyed you. Well I will start with GSP or green star polyp. That stuff over grew my tank and I restarted to try and ill it and looks good so far.

I don't like chalices or encrusting montipora. Pointless corals IMO.

I'm going to have to say xenia, it's not exactly ugly but man the stuff can take over quickly.

I think every coral fits a certain tank. I'm a softie lover. So I'd say I hate acro but I still appreciate a sps dominated tank. I guess I just hate the stray acro in a tank full of lps/softies

The only coral I have found I don't like (mostly due to its highly invasive nature but it's also not particularly attrative, although fascinating) is those big brown palys. I don't think there's any coral I "HATE", just ones I don't prefer. Now, there are other types of organisms I do genuinely hate.

I don't like anything that's brown. Doesn't add enough color so to me it's not worth the money or time.

all those are fair. I don't like corals that take over my tank or corals that I cannot keep alive hah.

I despise kenya trees. I don't know why.. I just don't like them.

maybe because it is a tree in water. I do not believe trees belong fully submerged.

For me Pulsing Xenia will never get in my tank again, they spread way too fast.
Kenya can do this as well is and therefore a close second....

I also hate those corals that appear too genetically modified that you know never would appear in nature like the ones with the crazy multi color patterns that look like a lollipop

Blue agave zoanthids. I love them and they do well for 6 months theb melt on me. 3 tries with em.

My wowser zoas. They are beautiful and I want them to grow all over my rock, but they won't. So I hate them.

Well since I have lost one and losing another I dont care for plates. My long tentacled plate died and my green plate is on it's way out. Found out that their skin is so soft that when hermits crawl over them they punch holes in their skin and then they get sick and die. Not saying I dont think they are pretty but since I need my hermits right now, plates are off my list.

Oh easy answer the Kenya Tree! Ugly, brown and it takes over tanks and did I say it's ugly? Had one for 3 weeks and hated it my friend gladly took it and now his 150 is a Kenya farm.
