So what is your most hated coral?

I'm not a fan of scolymia (now homophyllia). I really can't see the appeal of a boring shaped coral that it looks like a 2 year old coloured in.

My most hated coral would have to be Anthelia... there is no good way to get rid of it all.

Gorgonians are just flimsy sticks that only serve the purpose of taking up space

I love them when I've seen pictures of them feeding, but I just can't comprehend the price that they still bring. Until they come way down (like $50ish) I probably won't have one in my tank.

(All of the above could be a naive lie though, because my wife likes them)

Kenya Tree. Never had it, never will. I learned my lesson with Pulsing Xenia taking over. At least the Xenia looks good...

hitch hiker blue/green/brown star polyps.

That's a easy one. I hate Kenyan trees. I had one in my tank until the other day. They drop babies all the time. It was neat when I saw the first three. Then I noticed at least ten more. I'm on vacation now. However when I get back I will be removing the rock that they are on, to remove them. Then I will cover the spot they were on in glue. Hopefully that will keep them from coming back. Did I say I hate Kenyan trees. Any one have ideas on how to kill them?

I finally got rid of my green / brown palys... They just kept getting bigger around, and uglier...

Personally, I have a small area of Kenya tree that I think looks really nice, and has good movement. I have it isolated, and have not had any "babies" drop yet. I am one of the weirdos that like how it looks, I guess...

For me it's chalices, no movement nice color but just flat and boring . I guess I feel the same way about encrusting montis. Right this moment it's my pocillipora that grows everywhere even after I sold my colony. But I cut em and sell$ 5 and $10 frags so maybe hate isn't the right word lol

Im not a fan of non grandis palys. At least palythoa grandis have nice colors and are fun to feed. Mine have sprouted off a few polpys which is nice. However I do like the purple palys and would love to have them

Im on the same boat too. Never liked corals without movement. At least acros and pocillipora have a nice motion to them

I'm in the same boat with my pink pocillipora.. thing encrusts like crazy.. always have to be scraping it off when it gets close to my other coral..

Hmmm, my pocillipora barely encrusted. Wish I could say the same about Monti digitata. Dang things encrust like mad.

Just recently moved and got to start my tank over... Everything brown, gsp, xenia and those tiny blue polyps that get everywhere!!!

Purple star polyps. I looked at pictures, thought it was worth the risk. Turns out the purple is only there when they're closed. Otherwise brown. Ugh.

Can I add a second - any coral that is attractive under blues-only but looks totally washed out when some white is added to the color mix (I'm looking at you, "purple tipped" hammer!).

Waving Hand Anthelia - Invasive, usually brown or tan and are ugly when they stretch out. Blah!
