Softie and Macroalgae dominant Waspfish tank

just put the snails in- i was feeding pretty heavily in order to reduce dinos. Plenty of dieoffs from rock for sure. I also reduced the flow so there has been build up

In new tank would of most likely had been diatoms they normally burn out themselves without doing anything

yeah but keep in mind this tank is already cycled- added the sand in way before the live rock

Sorry - I've never worked with this species. Some related species shed their mucus layer every couple of weeks or so. However, that is not combined with other symptoms, the fish still behaves and eats normally during that time.

Brooklynella and ich are really difficult to see on scorpionfish.

Update on waspfish!!! Everything is going well. He changed from a black to a brownish color. I have added some kenya trees aswell as a gonipora and some macroalgae

I wouldn't try it. Neon gobies have some protection from predators as "cleaner fish" but they are Atlantic and won't be recognized as such by a Pacific species.
