Solving my low pH

Now you bring up another point. My run if I do this would be about 15 feet. Would I also need a 1.5 inch PVC to make it work?
I will promise you the benifit from doing this is far greater then any other modification you could ever do to your tank. So make sure you do it properly and most Efficient is how I look at it of coarse my opinion. But I do have the data to back it up

I will seriously look into doing this. It is entirely doable. Thank you so much.

Makes sense although I am not entirely sure what a helper vacuum is.
Just an air pump that has a vacuum inlet line as well as the pressure outlet line. I will hook the vacuum line to the end of the 1 1/2 pvc to help it pull air in from outside due to like I said vacuum from skimmer being low and possibly having hard time drawing fresh air in

Yeah doing that air test on a sample sitting in my fish room didn't change the pH at all. Well, its off to Lowe's I go.
lol good luck. Any questions let me know I will help if I can. I should be on and off r2r most the day. :) that’s my life lol

I see. Yeah cool. I will be doing this. the sample I had in the fishroom didn't change pH at all. So I will have to do this. Do my a favor. When you have this vacuum installed, can you update me if you think about it?

Yes I can but what I’ve shown you I’ve already changed. I’ve only showed you my entry level setup that I changed few weeks back already and now will upgrade again to add vacuum pump. Let me send few pics of where I’m actually at now lol

the outside air line works great gives like .2-3 increase . But after installing co2 scrubbers is when I get the infinite raise that I wanted

I have these scrubbers hooked to my apex controller and apex controls solenoids to control air flow either thru scrubber then thru outside air line or when deenergised Only runs air thru outside line to save co2 media

I will add a fitting to the end cap in this picture that the vacuum line will go on creating higher vacuum in pvc pulling more fresh air in

Here is my apex ph graph after the mods. And one showing a compairison of ph to the on and off time of the commanded solenoids

Wasn’t a believer of the tubing outside but it’s working so that’s what I would recommend like I mentioned co2 scrubber can get very expensive I was going through a big bag of bulkreefsupply co2 media once a month I have a 200 have gallon system ph stays aroun 7.8 to 7.9 when lights are off during the day I get as high as 8.2

Yes media gets expensive no doubt. I buy in 5 gallon buckets worth to save money. Only issue I see with not using it for me is if ph is not stable or should I say less stable then so is alk. For me the more stable less fluctuation in ph the same happens with alk. When I get that swing in ph of .3-.6 daily so did alk. I prefer my alk to stay at exactly what I want thru the day. This is why I use the media

.1-.15 alk swing thru the whole week. I venture to say you got .5-.8 Thru the week
