I believe all super glue has ethyl cyanoacrylateThis has a second active ingredient besides the reef superglue cyanoacrylate. It has ethyl cyanoacrylate. I’m unsure if this is a problem but have avoided gorilla glue for this reason. That said I don’t think it has anything to do with your test results.
I’m assuming you haven’t actually read the post and saw it wasn’t cycle but if that glue used was the cause of the test strip test results ?I'm guessing you just set up the tank ?
If so most just simply say add an amnonia source ( say something like amnonian chloride ) then add a bottled bacteria and get some decent test kits ( lots of threads of what people recomend on r2r)
Then watch your amnonia go up then nitrite go up then when amnonia/ nitrite start going down and nitrate starts rising then your nitrogen cycle done ( well not done as always will be ) be safe to start adding livestock slowly .
Can go into the whole nitrite not toxic in saltwater unless very high levels.
Or could just simply add some ground up fish food as a carbon source and then do nothing ( ovbiously need return pumps/ wavemakers on for flow and temp for tank) and let nature do its thing ,takes longer but gets you same place .
If not just started tank up and cycling disregard I guess.
I'm just taking you want to save your water on cycling your tank as crazy numbers on your test strips .
One test you didnt mention was ammnonia.?
According to doctor tims seminar he states if rise temp slightly and drop salinity slightly then gives tje bacteria a head start and they reproduce faster then when cycle done then raise salinity slowly and drop temp to normal .
Can you post a picture of the tank .
along with a picture of the gorilla glue ( ingredients as well will help .
Nah tanks been running for a heck of a long time 7 1/2 months 8? Idk. Never ran into a prob like this as. Got 2 clowns, lawnmower , cleaner shrimp and some other hermits snails all that stuff. Besides the point maintenance for me has been ***** easy just water changes, cleaning, etc.. the basics. Had to use a test strip tonight because I ran out of my liquid solution & ran into these numbers so I tagged emergency on it lolI'm guessing you just set up the tank ?

Potty mouth!has been ***** easy just

Thanks. Maybe so, I feel like most brands leave off the ethyl part, but wasn’t sure if that made a difference or not.I believe all super glue has ethyl cyanoacrylate
