I have my 29 up and running and except for cyano everything is great. However, I have been thinking lately that I enjoy the planning, gathering materials, and actually setting everything up more than watching the tank grow. Dont get me wrong, I love to watch my fish swim and explore and see my corals open and grow, but I LOVE building the tanks and watching it all come together. Anyone else feel this way too? It makes me wish I could get a reliable job setting up tanks for people. BTW if this is best suited for a different location please feel free to move it

Anyone else feel this way too?

Judging by all the build threads with images of plumping and equipment I have a feeling it pretty common to enjoy the build A LOT. I will follow a build thread and once the fish and corals are in the hobbyist stops taking images, or they sell it all and start all over again.

Building and expanding a tank is the best part for me.
Spending them $$$$$$$

So true I still have the same live rock fish and corals. Even the same aqua scape as when I started. Love my pets and am pretty content with them. However I keep upsizing and automating everything around them. When I take a break on my tank I enjoy bringing dead motorcycles n sailboats back to life. I'm sure there's a name for this disease:xd:

Ugh. I would LOVE to have someone else set up the actual equipment.......wasn't so at first, but I'm tired of fights with my plumbing XP

Totally agree!! Especially the filtration part, for whatever reason I just geek out on all that stuff! Gets expensive quick building and building! Glad I'm not the only one!

For me the scape is the most fun, but watching it after it's grown out while having a glass of wine w/ girlie is kinda nice too!

Yep. Every time I Chang my setup I aim to overcome the flaws in the old one. Unfortunately I went two steps backwards in the noise department this time around. I guess I've just been getting lucky with quiet overflows until now. Oh we'll I'll just turn the volume up on the tv till next time

It drives me crazy lol. I just finished upgrading about 3 months ago and I already want, and am planning, my next upgrade. Right now im planning on taking apart my tank to drill a second hole to improve filtration and surface skimming.

I'm still new to the hobby so for me it's the building and planning. Currently designing my second( and bigger :-)), wanting to change/fix my mistakes and try things different then the first go around.

I agree with this so much!

I get a kick out of designing builds, haha! I use to design customers systems for free because I enjoyed it and loved seeing my visions come to life, lol.

I enjoy the builds, but I lose lots of sleep and get stressed out "in a good way". I love to spend the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Thank God for Paypal Bill Me Later!!
