Does anyone know how to raise specific gravity up. I just check my in few day and noticed it pretty low for my coral (1.021-1.022). I would raise it up to 1.025. I try to do water change with sg 1.026 but my DT sg still stay at 1.022. What should i do to raise it. ??
If you want to raise your salinity to 1.025 you need to make your new water at a higher salinity.

If you do a 10% water change I would go as high as 1.034
If you do a 25% water change I would go around 1.028

That would be a great idea too, but does rapid change effect my sps???

These wouldn't be rapid changes at all. In fact, they might be a little small.

Starting at 1.021 and doing a 10% water change with 1.034 would only get you to 1.0223.
Starting at 1.021 and doing a 25% water change with 1.028 would only get you to 1.0228

So, you may want to consider doing the changes with even higher salinity water.

Just a quick question, if I understand correctly, you are saying you salinity is always low over time? If you are running an ATO, it is possible the ATO sensor level is not set correctly? The way I read this, your ATO is maintaining a low salinity. Maybe I am way off. I guess my real question is why is the salinity low?

My ATO pump broke and doesn't work few days. At that time, I start to use a cup and dose by hand when the water level go down. Maybe i dose over the normal water level cause my salinity gets low

Starting at 1.021 and doing a 10% water change with 1.034 would only get you to 2.0223.

You mean 1.0223 not 1.023
Right?

Don't be in a rush to raise it. That may do more harm then good. The main reason why many keep it at 1.025/1.026 is because of the elevated levels of Ca,Mg and ALK. If you want just dose those to acceptable levels and slowly raise your SG.

If the ATO pump is what's holding you back from doing it at a stable rate, then you could always get one from ebay (12v) and splice it in to your current setup!
