o reef831, what is this. I'm fairly new to the SPS game and I picked up a piece that the guy at my LFS calls it a mystery Mili b/c it does something different in everyones tank, in mine it looks very similar to this.

It is called Palmers blue mille...it is a very well know acro that is solid blue. I don't think it is the same because never heard of it morfing on anyone. any pic's of yours..it does not need a name to be nice.

I will get some pics up tonight. The piece is nice, a guy traded a nice colony of it for some frags from my local fish store and the guy at the LFS gave me a piece of it as a freebie. When I got it It has a bright green base fading to blue in lower light and lower flow. I have since upgraded to a 6 bulb t5 fixture and moved it higher in the tank with more flow and it has turned all blue.

excellent job keeping this coral those colors... I have seen this coral or very similar in a number of tanks, and it almost always loses all pink coloration in captivity and turns plain green. I have never kept it, but your success makes me want to try.

Thanks bro.It is just a coral that needs intense light and strong flow to blush pink IMO (oh,and good genetics). It really likes being burned. Most acros would not enjoy where this thing lives. It really gets extreme intense light and flow.

I'm definitely going to pick one of these up for my new display.

Looks like Crayola Plana to me. All VERY nice shots btw.

You got it. Thats my strawberry shortcake. I lost the first frag I ever got of it a while back, It came in fine and went up in smoke a few hours later. This one has had no problems though and has settled in nicely. It actually keeps getting nicer and nicer.
