Craig used chloramphenicol and believed this to be the definitive medication!

Chloramphenicol best way is to get a Vet to give up a prescription here in the States.

i have RTN in my sps, i check salinity and basic parameter only Kh drop 2 dkh per week....and i lost my monty capri and millepora

Reviving a dead thread here, but I tried this and it worked! Had a coral that came in looking a little rough from shipping. Overnight it lost a large portion of tissue. Fragged it and got rid of the tissue loss. Did a 5 min dip the first day and a ten minute dip yesterday. Checked this morning and no more tissue loss.

What did u dip it in and what was the ratio?

This is actually a phenomenon that I'm finding more reefers experiencing. The addition of nitrate is causing the stn. I believe bad bacterial populations boom with the addition of nitrate at a faster than normal rate. In one of my posts me and another guy are discussing it. I have the same issue and I think the answer is heavy pro biotic bacterial additions to the tank.
