spspirates 150 gallon build

Sweet. Glad to see you got the "newer" version. Had the older one go on a skimmer and got the new one as a replacement and the build quality of the new one is much better as well as the controller.

Holding it and eye balling it looks to be well built. Im stoked about the controller. That was the selling point for me and not to mention the little power I'll save down the road. Every little bit helps.

Thanks Israel! Not going with the barbs that came with it. Going to go rummage through my LFS's plumbing section to see what I can find.

With my jebao I used an 1 1/4" female adapter coming off the pump. This gave me a 1 1/4" female slip connection to work off of. Worked out pretty well.

On the jebao it threaded right on. Looking at specs of the RO pump it says 1 1/4" threaded output. It's possible that the threads are not NPT threads so regular pvc threaded fittings don't match up. The one I replaced on the skimmer used the parts it came with to match up to the skimmer. I'll take a look at it Monday and see if that's the issue.

I went to my LFS and to Lowes. So far a no go with reducing the outlet to a 3/4in barb.

OK, founded it. 1 1/4in adapter threaded, 1 1/4in bushing slip to 3/4in threaded barb. The 1 1/4in adapter screwed in pretty well the first 3 threads then became nice and snug 5 more threads in. I did not put a true union on but can and may down the road but if I do need to work or clean the pump it can be lifted out and worked on out next to the sump.
