I am learning / researching to consider DIY vs PNP on my next big build.

Do the standpipes connecting to the bulkheads inside a internal overflow box need to be glued down in place?

I know you glue a pvc pipe connection to the bulkhead on the sump side (to a union as well). But what about inside the overflow box?

Inside the overflow, no. It's actually advisable to never glue the inside plumbing into the bulkheads:)

Thank you! So the just free stand in the overflow. Both the main drain and emergency (and return pipe)? Appreciated the quick response.

You got it, if you do glue the drains into the sump I would install unions just above so you can remove the plumbing easily.
