Stang's Shroomie Shenanigans

Oh forgot. Can I add some aquaforest life source mud to the sand to help with the cycle?
I don't see any reason why not but if you are bringing live rock in from the 180, There's not much of a true cycle to be helped. Sand needs to be colonized for sure, but most of your power lifting will be done by the rock.

I agree you shouldn't have much of a cycle but don't be surprised if you see a week or so of uglies until "things" balance out. A couple good water changes always helped get 'things" back to normal. I just went through this on a 15g I setup.

Went to make sure the top off worked before I left for indi and nope no Bueno. So add that to the list of ok to buy this weekend if I find one. I have an old skool one on the 10g now that I could make work but there may not be enough room on the back glass to mount it with the light back there.

20$ replacement pump from Amazon and the ato is as good as new. Threw some more rock in from the sump and 180g. There's a hermit that made the trip, a bta, couple green mushrooms, a piece of nepathia and a few stargazer zoas. Going to try and program the light tonight as well. Then if testing on Wed is good do the transfer of the fish and shrooms I want over. Made sure to leave alot of open real estate on the sand but also a few prime spots on the scape. Not sure on fish yet but the 2 cardinals and sw mollies for sure. Tail spot blenny will be on the list. Still not convinced on the clowns tho.
The shrooms that are coming in from the 180 will be replaced with the Acan's I have in the 10g. The pectinia and other fancy schmancy thing will also go to the 180g. Nepathia and nems, even tho I hate them both will likely go into the 40g. Maybe I'll list them on fb and see if anyone wants them.

Our neighbors beehive. I thought you could appreciate. It’s hard to get a good picture. But it’s huge!
I’m no expert but I think those are wasps.

Wowsa I'd be surprised if it made it through winter like that. All exposed.

Nope wasps make a football shaped one out of paper. The ridges indicate honey bees. They re known to do this. It's a naked hive.

Correct, its a type of beehive.

Now, wheres the pectinia I came to see?
Lights are off atm tomorrow. It's doing really well I'm excited to watch it grow.

I'll snag pics of mine. It's almost a year and color, texture is forming along the edges. It's so nice!
Just hoping I can capture the details without needing the big camera.
