Started dozing kalkwasser then this happened

Depends on your demand, amount you drip and whether you are using fully saturated kalkwasser or if you are using less powder to make a weaker kalk solution.
Yes its possible to elevate levels, but kalk is best used to maintain, not raise levels

Okay thank you! And I am using the powder and a very slow drip. And I started with a less amount of powder to see how things look.

As @C. Eymann stated it can be good or temporarily bad. Can be a defense mechanism or just shedding off excess Zooxanthellae.

Shouldn't have been because of starting Kalkwasser.

I really think it is algae check out the pictures in the thread I sent. It looks just like what I went through.

After giving it a closer look, I do now see the "spiderweb" of algea and would agree.

Looks like dinos to me. Zooxanthellae typically comes from the center of a zoanthid when they expel it, ime.

Kalk has a tendency to alter phosphate levels. Usually lowers them some. If they were close to 0 to begin with, it could create a bloom.

If your dosing Kalk you need to monitor your Alkalinity primarily and Ca on occasion. The PH does not really tell you what is going on with your alkalinity specifically.
