in the triton method you have a refugium. Although I know a lot of people don't have the room or section to do this it still works wonders.
How many threads have you read where they only grow cheato? Crazy hu
I house 10 different macros and each one uses nutrients differently than the others.

When a person has researched the Triton method they will notice macros are key (well at least I hope they noticed)
I know this is not huge in the US because it takes people out of their "normal" thought process.
As I stated I just wanted to let people know there are other methods besides the tedious task and risks of dosing an aquarium.
dose wrong and watch for the downfall.

OK, I agree that growing macroalgae is a fine way to export nutrients. I do that as well, and often use the macroalgae to feed my fish.

my fish love the algae I let loose through the return.

I work hard and directly with Triton and Orphek seeing as it is not common grounds here in the US yet

I have a huge sump. I have a space 4' x 4' x 2', but think that may be too big. I have never tried to grow algae. Is that space too large? What type of light do I need to grow it?

That is quite a large space to use!
find as many macros as you can get your hands on (heck I am still looking for more)
I buy all mine through Unique Corals as they have a huge selection when available.
with a section like that I would contact Orphek for a refugium led lamp or any company you know of that supplies good quality planted tank lamps.

@twillard I would love to have micro, especially with my new Nitrate dose... But I don't know how I would light the space and have it look good. You know looking good is important.
