1.5mls of vinegar is nothing. 1.5mls of Vodka is nothing also. The O2 thing is one reason why the recommendations are to have a good skimmer and it be kept clean, so ite working at top levels.

That's a good question and recommendation also.
So what type of Skimmer are you running ICE? And other filtration devices and processes?

Why are you thinking about carbon dosing with a fowlr tank? Fish can handle higher nitrates and phosphates more than corals. I have been using Redsea Nopox with great results. Vodka has also been used with good results.

It would be nice to have someone write an article about dosing vinegar specifically for R2R!![]()
To start out with, you use 2.5mls. Go up to 5mls the following week, and add 5mls each week it doesn't start to come down. You only need to test once a week. Once you see your Nitrates start to come down, thats your daily maintenance mls. Once you hit 10mls, its best to split up the dosing, do half in the am and half in the pm. Once your Nitrates are where you want to keep them, you cut the dose in half, that is now your daily routine doseage. If you miss a daily dose, do not put double in the next day, missing a day will not hurt anything. So how would you go about dosing vodka? How much should I start with and increase by every week?
