Stephanie's First Marine Escapade!

Hey, you can use the Kalk, aiptasia x or joes juice. All 3 will work the same way by injection into the oral cavity. I can guarantee your lfs has all 3 no matter your decision. There is also the choice of peppermint shrimp, but be warned they eat and pester certain corals.

syringe boiling water in its mouth is a cheaper route if the cash is an issue and it's a natural remedy. Only heard about it, no first hand experience.

So I am going into my second month with my 40gallon and I ended up using the Red Sea Aiptasia X only because I did not want to add another shrimp since I am limited on space. My goal is eventually to add a Green Mandarin as my last fish. As of now it looks good, it sure was satisfying to see those things shrivel up and it didn't look like any of them released plantulas, but we will see!! Thanks to everyone for their help and advice!!!

What's up with the palm trees?

My view this morning!
No palms but a choppy surf

Two questions:
1. How long for a tank set up in order to have sufficient pods to feed a green mandarin?

2. I want something to clean my sandbed but am worried a diamond goby will be too big for my tank (40g)
What are some other suggestions and/or is a diamond goby okay for my size tank?

The Hi Fin Red Banded Goby or the Yasha White Ray Shrimp Goby are smaller Gobies that suits your cube better.
The Super Nassarius Snail is buried in the substrate foraging for food, they are easy and move your sand without making a mess.

Things are going well in my marine world. Only issue I am having is finding a balance for feeding. Originally I think I wasn't feeding enough, and my nitrates were at 0. Now I upped the quantity to help coral growth and my nitrates started to climb. I did a partial water change and still a little high. So I am back tracking a bit to see if I can balance again.
