@stevo01 hey bud how's your conductivity probe treating you? I'm experiencing a pretty heavy downward drift in conductivity readings with mine. There's a thread about it with multiple people experiencing the same effect.

Yes. I've done a .002 offset, reads consistent with my refractometer calibrated with 35ppt solution. Well, .0005 higher but the p4 offset allows up to thousandths not ten thousandths. Anyone reading a littke off up to .005 can fix this by manually offsetting.

I just downloaded and installed the latest firmware. The "start 1-4" screen has stopped auto-looping. This is good news!

Didnt I suggest doing this :rolleyes:? Hahaha, Glad your loops over! I think returning to default setting in gcc might work if someone is experiencing that with updated firmware. Someone would need to confirm that.
 
They just released a new firmware update today. You have to download the newest GCC (version 9.05 I think) to have access to the latest firmware. They included the "start 1-4" bug fix in the patch notes (labeled as button sensitivity).

@stevo01 so what you did was let your conductivity drift downward until it was flat (not drifting anymore), and then set your manual offset to compensate for the drift?
 
I set timer one to run 3 times a day for 8 seconds each time, I then tied it to a socket which turns on for the 8 seconds to power my feeder.

This is how I have P4 setup for "Feed Modes 1-3". 1 = Return Pump, 2 = Skimmer Pump, 3 = Powerheads. I have an adjusted delay set on the skimmer to prevent overflow. Set that using the "blackout delay".

That's correct. It seems to have a break in period. You can continuously offset the calibration up to +/- .o05. I would/am going to recalibrate the 3 probes periodically. When you are offsetting your always offsetting from the known calibrated value. I would be reading 1.0235, but I'm offsetting .002 to match my refractometer. This distance was bigger to begin but seem to be drifting closer together rather than apart. so that's good.

Hey, just did firmware update and it went like a breeze. The saved setting remained. I had to unplug the p4 wait and plug it back in. When I did one of my power heads did not come on. I hit feed mode 3. That's the button that turns off the power heads. Then back on. Everything running good now I think. Hahaha.
 
Just did the update too , problem solved. To prevent skimmer overflow in a any and all sump conditions (levels) I use a high level switch which keeps the skimmer off when activated, I also run the skimmer on a 16 hr timer.
 
The only issue I have now is that manually starting a feed pause does not trigger the timer selected so my feeder does not power on . I am wondering if this is so because the timers are set to come in AT specific times FOR specific time intervals, so for instance as I have my three feeding times set at 6am, 12md and 7 pm maybe the timer jus does not become active if it's not those actual times? I think the lack/ absence of a simple general timer which would operate without a preset trigger time would solve this problem.

I'm going to try to setup p4 on WiFi again. It be nice to work on gcc in the other room.
 
How did the wifi setup go? I actually found this to be the easiest thing I've done out of everything I've tried to do so far lol.
 
Not good. It searches and cant find it.

WiFi is not working for me either. It was working fine then it stopped. I noticed the IP had change so I figured that was the issues. Corrected the IP and still won't connect.
 
You assigned it an IP address like 192.168.1.8 or something similar? I've never tried having it on auto when trying to connect, i've always used the static IP address I assigned it. I've also had to unplug and re-plug in and exit out of the GCC and re-enter it a few times to get it to work (only on initial setup).

Ive tried it both ways.

Unplug what? Ive rebooted gcc and that didn't work.
 
I had to unplug the Profilux, but I'm guessing you've already tried that.
