Stocking 10g

#WelcometoR2R!!! What are you planning to keep in the tank (e.g., what type of fish, what type of coral, etc.)? Different livestock will have different requirement so a bit more info will be helpful.

The clownfish and the goby should be fine. Many types of anemones work better when they are introduced to a mature tank.

Do a search for saltwater fish for a nano tank and see what catches your eye!

Thanks ill see what they look like
Clowns and small perching fish are your best bet for the space. Clowns just swim up and down in their chosen spot usually! And there are so many kinds out there!

Do you think a blue legged hermit crab would work or is that overkill to much in there.

Are clowns aggressive I go to the scuba shop to for gear and they had a 100 gallon and every time a fish got close to the clown's spot he swam in there faces to get them away im not sure what clown this is thought it could have been a marron clownfish i heard those are aggresive and very big

Those guys are perfect! They dont get big and are great clean up crew. In a 10 you wont need that many! I suggest getting your clowns (if thats the fish you go with) and waiting a week before getting hermits so they dont starve. In your tank I would probably start out with 3 then get more (you can get red and scarlet legs too!) as you find you need them to help with uneaten food. Also be sure you get extra shells for them as they get bigger, they will need them!

Oh yes clowns are aggressive when they are big. The female in my tank bites me and draws blood! But shes also 4 inches and full grown. They are mellow when they are little. And I have maroons in my other tank, my female is 3 inches long and thats half her adult size. They get to be around 6 inches, for sure not a good nano fish.

Depends on where you get them and the kind. They vary from inexpensive to expensive! This is a good online shop that will show you just about every kind of clownfish out there:

Bigger is better in saltwater, opposite of fresh! So if its between a 20 and 10 Ill always suggest the 20!

I have a Waterbox 10 cube with a Yasha Goby and Randall’s pistol shrimp, live rock, ricordea florida, a very small torch, and 4 button scolys. It’s pretty easy to manage with water changes.
