So even with a big fuge and no six line?
As I said above the sixline is a known terror... Id pick another wrasse.

Also, I wouldn't depend on a fuge when starting out. It has the potential for heartbreak. Fuges do better in established tank/sump setups. I went through a LOT of cheato before getting it to kinda work out, in my situation, lol.

Ok I am totally fine with getting rid of the chromis but I just don't have any blue or green fish in the tank so I was planning on chromis and trying to get them to school. Do you have any thoughts on the mandarin then? Just because it will add blue and green to the tank?
Only you can say what your priorities are re: fish... If you really want to try to have a school of chromis, that's do-able, but you should plan on stocking around that goal (i.e. not get a lot of the other fish, at least for a while).

To be honest the only point of the chomis was to add some blue and green and movement to the tank so I can probably do without them!

I knew about the six line agression but was fine with taking the risk but I guess it may be more aggressive in a more heavily stocked tank? I also am adding a yellow coris anyways.

I should create a poll for the foxface or bristletooth. My LFS thought I could do both but not sure.
No, you should add either of them after the tank is established and has enough algae to support whichever you choose. My best advice - decide on 2-3 fish you feel comfortable starting out with and add more only after you can maintain stability with those. This is a marathon, not a sprint. You may see a fish 6 months from now that you fall in love with, and the list you have now may go out the window :)

My goal would be to get all of the fish. lol

You're going to want to feed both something more nutritious than just the algae your tank grows, like nori sheets

Edit: in a tank that small, I agree you should choose one or the other. My vote is for the foxface.
This...

I'd personally say foxface as well since they are hardy as he!!, but they get big quick enough and I hate rehoming fish personally. I figure the bristletooth tang will do better due to the small tank dimensions.

Yes, I've just heard that they are both happier when they have lots of algae to eat too. They will probably join in on frozen feedings and I will feed them nori. I also have some Omega formula two flakes I think. The one with spirulina and garlic I can give them.
Oh, they are pigs and will eat anything, but you need to be sure you're providing the nutrition they need.

While the tank was cycling I always spent so long at the LFS browsing the fish but I guess I might find another one I like! A lot of fish aren't available or extremely overpriced in Australia though due to a policy which doesn't allow marine livestock from other countries to be imported.

I think I should probably choose between the blenny and the hawkfish as well because they are both just personality fish. Any ideas?

Decided to probably scrap the blenny because I will already have enough yellow in the tank.

2 clownfish
Firefish
2 Bangaii Cardinals
One Spot Foxface/Bristletooth tang
Diamond Goby
Yellow Coris wrasse
Longnose hawkfish

my stocking list looks a lot tamer now!

Personally, I'd get a midas and an algae blenny (starry, lawnmower, etc). My starry blenny had a ton of personality.

Just thinking on colours as well because I have a lot of yellow. My LFS doesn't usually get in starry blennies and will a lawnmower again compete on the algae? sorry on the alage again.

With this list, I would suggest getting the clowns and either the Cardinals or the goby and firefish first, and then wait 2-3 weeks (at least) to see how your tank is doing.

Are you planning to quarantine?
Are you planning on having coral?
