Internal parasites are contagious. When one fish dies it leaves the host and spreads to the next:

Levamisole HCl will kill most types of intestinal worms.
NLS Hex Shield also works, but I’m pretty sure they stopped selling it.

By the way, i just realized that i saw indeed some of white poop.
Before assuming internal parasites, often when fish are fed mysis or brine shrimp or both, it will mimic white poop
Still need still pics under white lighting to best assess what you have

I try to avoid medication unless there are obvious signs
A good preventative is ruby rally pro

So here are some pictures I just made from the one that is still alive. Just gave a bit of mysys and he was chasing for all the food. So what should be the best to do now? Medication, nothing or something else?

I'm a wait and see kind of girl. Just me, but id like to know there is something wrong before I start throwing medicine at something. Just my opinion. Also, if this fish ends up being healthy on its on without broad treatment, you will know the other one died of something likely not contagious and wont have to go fallow.

Totally true, I also prefer the clown to be healthy without medication. Maybe i can try the ruby rally pro, this should be natural for the health if I read it right

I would need to see ingredients.
Has the clown shown any similar signs to the old one.
I agree to wait on treating unless necessary, but it probably isn’t a bad thing to have on hand if it gets sick or for future fish.

Nope, this clown looks fine to me, is not showing anything strange, normal breating, whole the time chasing for food, swimming normal around the same rock, normal colors, nothing on the skin. So I will do nothing until I see something strange. Im checking for some natural product to improve overal health. Thanks for all the help!

Definitely good to have medicines handy for future problems - my disease based fish loss has decreased to almost zero except for things that hide too well. Often parasites don’t show until too late.

True, but sometimes its really difficult for beginners like me to find out what kind of illniss it is and then how to treat it.. but a good thing to read about the coming months

It does take time, but certainly pays off. Eventually most diseases will become barely a concern once you can identify and treat whatever comes your way.

Hi guys, just a small update regading the clown which survived. Now 5 weeks later she is doing really good and already see her growning ( see the black fins growning nice in the pictures) one more question, after how long of no bad signs can you be sure that the fish is 100% healthy?
