THis thread is inspired this morning when i woke up and saw that i left one of my Acro colony outside after taking it out of the tank yesterday to cut a frag off.. Now i have to start all over again growing out the frag to a colony hahhhahhahahhaa !! AAAHHHH!!!!! I hate being a bonehead!!!!

PLease post up your bonehead moves so we can all learn and not do the same.. ahhahaah OR just laugh at you.

I hope this thread takes off. if not then i guess im the only bonehead reefer.

Oh my, the things I have done I tried to repress and here you are bring them back up again...

1. Got out of the hobby... 3 times so far...
2. Left the RODI running in a 5g bucket and went to sleep :/
3. Turned off the pumps during feeding time, forgot to turn them back on until the next morning :(
4. Plug my temporary 29g with all live stock too low to the ground where students could accidentally unplug it with a careless foot... RIP 2 clownfish, 1 YWG, 1 short-spined urchin, etc
5. Let my wife know the ACTUAL price I paid for some of my corals/fish/equipment :/
6. Let Nitrox influence me to go bigger :/

Leave the RO unit turned on filling a 5 gallon bucket on top of the kitchen counter of a 3rd floor apartment... and leave the house for the afternoon...

Taking my beautiful Hawkins Echinata out of the display and dipping in a revive solution for about 10 minutes... died faster than you can say dead! Should have done my homework.

^^^^^^
yes!!!!!
or better yet doing a water change walking away for two seconds which turns to 10 minutes as your siphoning water out of the display......

gave my mom a good reason to make me mop-_-

Drip acclimated shrimp in the garage in sub 50° weather. yea they floated.
Forgot to plug heaters back in after maintenance. On first cold day of year.
Left Ro/DI on and flooded garage...6 times and counting

#5, Hit it right on the head lolololololol

Going to sleep with RO/DI.........worst nightmare since it leak down the apartment........
Forgot to turn back on the Pump.............

FLOODS ~ FLOODS ~ FLOODS

Where should I begin........... have done all three of the following more than once.... maybe more than twice
:noidea:

#1 Leaving RO/DI running and flooding garage.... I only clean my garage floor with the purest of water!

#2 Leaving one J-tube in while cleaning the other in 'Old School' overflow boxes even though turning down flow rate of return pump. Of course getting side tracked as in trying to remember where I put the **** bottle brush................Flooding Family Room, now have a tile floor in entire level of house.

#3 Forget to replace the skimmer cup after cleaning but remembering to turn it back on Flooding stand and surrounding carpet...... see ^above^ need for new tile floor.

Cheers, Todd

Let rodi run and went to bed. Wife woke me up at 5am yelling at me. Had about 16 gallons of water on the floor. Came out of the laundry room, into the hall way and by the steps going upstairs. Smelled for about a week and I ahd to buy a $150 carpet cleaner and run it multiple times to get the floor smelling good again. Now I only mke water on my days off and in the morning with a timer on. lol

I emptied my sump while doing a water change, but forgot to turn the heater off. Thankfully I could smell it cooking, before any damage was done.

I have a steady stream of RO water constantly running down the driveway. So glad i decided to put everything in the garage instead of the basement.
