I need to purchase a new Ro di system and I'm wondering if anybody has a suggestion on a good bang for your buck RO/DI.

What is your tank size? I like and use the BRS kit. I have an upgraded 150gpd with booster pump and I am extremely happy with it. Though spectra pure was an option before I upgraded. I just like the cost of the filters and DI resin from BRS.

There are a lot of good units. I went with spectrapure, haven't had any issues with it! I did have low water pressure so I added the suggested booster pump. The extra price of the booster pump has been well worth it!

Just a 40gallon Innovative Marine SPS tank

Make sure the ASOV has a check valve included with it as shown in the Spectrapure Hook Up Diagrams on the web page.

I need some advise. I have a float valve with a ASOV for the filtered water container and it is working great. Now I want to install a float valve also for the waste water to shut off.

I am confused if I have to get another ASOV or and just install a new float valve for the waste water and it will work with the actual ASOV or I have to buy a Solenoid in order to shutdown the waster water container refill.?

Thanks in advance.... Any diagram will help.

Asov uses the back pressure from the Clean water to stop the flow before the ro membrane. So just have to have it work correctly.

Yes I have a check valve and restrictor on the waste

Thanks. It is working well for the clean water. What I want is for the waste water container.

No need. The ASOV automatically shuts off both the treated and waste flows by itself. If your waste continues to flow it is not working correctly.

Thanks..... I will get the float valve and try it. I was almost to buy a Solenoid.

Do I need to install another check valve also for the waste water in conjunction with the float valve???

Do Not install a float valve on the waste line!
You will ruin your RO membrane. The waste line needs to flow open ended with no restriction past the flow restrictor. No float valves, no check valves and no solenoids or anything.
The ASOV takes care of both the treated and the waste flows by itself. As I said earlier, if you have an ASOV and float valve on your treated line and your waste continues to flow then it is not functioning properly. It could be installed incorrectly, it may be the wrong ASOV for your application, it may need a mini bladder tank and/or check valve, it may have air trapped in the housings or it may be defective. A properly installed ASOV shuts both the treated and waste flows.

I understand your explanation but I think that I didn't explain myself in what I want.

You are right that the ASOV with the float valve in the treated water shuts everything and it is working like that. Now what I want is that if the waste water container get filled before the treated water it shut down automatically but per your suggestion I should not do it like that because it will ruin the membrane right.
