Well after running my IM 30L (https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/member-tanks/171277-im-fusion-30l-build-my-boy.html) for 8 months I have decided its time to upgrade. My 30L is packed full of SPS. I started with the LPS and quickly got addicted to the sticks.

And this is a "Miracle Build" because A) The wife is into it B) Miracles Aquariums is doing the tank and sump build.

So where I'm at as of today: (edited 14JAN16)

Tank: 68x20x22H with Left rear overflow that will be plumed Bean Animal.

Sump/Refugium: The plan is to eventually run a Triton based system. With this in mind I asked Derek (Miracles) to build me a 42x16x16 sump that is divided into 4 chambers. First for floating macro, second for planted macro, third for the skimmer, and fourth return.

Lighting: Two Nano Box Reef Hybrid Lights. These are 24" Quad T5 Quad LED.

Fuge Light: Nano Box Reef 12" Beam

Stand: Custom by Me!!

Skimmer: NYOS 160

In tank flow: XF150 and XF130
: MP 10 backup since I already have a battery backup

Return Pump: Royal Exclusiv Red Dragon 3

Rock: 135lbs Marco Key Largo Dry and 35lbs shelf

Sand: 90lbs Tropic Eden Reef Flakes

Custom 16gal ATO and 4 chamber x 1 gal Dosing container: Melev's Reef

More to follow

Worried it wouldn't be level here but after I moved the other stand and put this here it was perfect.

Got the word that the tank and sump will be shipped Monday so I need to get moving on this stand. Still not sure what I want the finished trim to look like.

I might be taking the large side trim pieces off and using something a little simpler.

I think the doors came out good but the wife and I think they may be to large so I might cut them in half and hing them. Also going to route the edges to match the shelf trim piece on the top of the stand, they look a little plain.

Good thing I woke up early to paint the stand today, I just got a call that the tank is waiting for me to pick it up at the terminal!! wasn't suppose to be in until Monday
Hard to get the right colors to show in the garage

Looking good. I see you have a helper. Can always use an extra pair of hands. :)

Finally got busy on this thing

125lbs Marco Key Largo dry rock and 35lbs key largo shelf rock

Built the shelf with left over wood from the stand build. A little sanding, routing, painting and you can't tell it was all scrap.

Also got one of the two Nano Box Reef Hybrids hung. Love these lights

Everything fits nice and snug

Want going to add sand but this Tropic Eden Reef Flake looks awesome.

Got Dave at Nano Box to send me one of the 1st Beams for the sump. Crazy good quality and light output

Time for another little update.
Changed out the Reef Octopus for a Nyos 160 and couldn't be happier. Got all the lighting setup and the tank is doing well.

I love your tank setup. I was wondering if you have some closer shots of how you plumbed your bean animal overflow. I am also having a tank built by Miracles about the same size and I keep going back and forth on the overflow design with Derek. I would like external but don't want the tank to stick off the wall very far. I get the basic concept of the bean animal and the return in the internal overflow but would love to see how you've done it. Thanks and I will definitely be following your updates.

Sure no problem @FireEMT , I went with Derek's recommendations and had him drill for 1" plumbing and I wanted the 1" return.
I took the return down to 3/4 and drilled thru the overflow

Thanks for the stand construction pics. Taking notes...

@Nowell the best advice I can give you is after you build the frame and check for level move it to where it will be in the house and recheck because your floors will probably be different. That way you will know if you are going to need to sand some off or shim before you move the entire stand in. Even after that there will be differences depending on how you finish it.
I moved my frame in for level and found some stuff that was off and then when I moved the finish stand in place I had something shift or warp and needed to re-sand one leg and shim another.

Turned of the GFO off since about half of my Acros's have lost color to see if that is the issue. Think it's kinda a catch 22 since I am having a hair algae outbreak. Some are doing well though
