Sully's 130'ish Miracle build

I have a question for you, I really like your idea of creating the floating shelf to hang your lights from. I am try to come up with the same type of thing for hanging 3 kessil 360's from the wall instead of the goosenecks. Did you run the power cords through the wall or do you have another trick? I also saw that you created a return manifold, are you running reactors from that? Do you have anything for me that you learned from ordering your tank from Miracles. Thanks again for the last response back about the overflow plumbing.

@FireEMT
On this one the cords are thick for my Nano Box Hybrids so I had to drop them down over the back. When I did it with my XR15's over my 30L the cords were thinner so I used one of those little plastic cord holders that have the sticky side and put it on the wall and painted them the wall color so it hid them pretty good.

I run 2 BRS reactors. I put 2 manifolds so I can adjust them seperatly instead of just going with the BRS dual.

When ordering Derek was very easy to reach after payment and during the build he was a bit slower. Never got any build shots and didn't hear from him for like 8 weeks until he returned my emails after I sent him a few.

But great build quality and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that comes near his price. Totally happy with the tank.

A little video update. Coming up in two months on SEPT 3rd and the tank has a bit of a GHA outbreak so I just dumped another 40 snails and hermits in and added a Lawnmower Blenny.
All the corals continue to look better every day.

Lawnmower Blenny and the rest of the extra CUC I added put in some work over the last week. Most of the GHA is gone.

Thanks, I've been pretty happy with it.

Some new shots from around the tank

I have a question for you about your drains. I recently set up my bean animal but want the water level in the tank to be as high as possible. I noticed in your tank that it looks like your water level is about half way up the weir, which is exactly were I want mine to be. Are you able to keep the water level high with the drains set below the water level? Does the water travel through the weir half way up and then drop into the overflow box. Another question is how much water do you have traveling through you backup full siphon(open channel). With mine it seems that even the smallest amount of water through the open channel makes noise. The full siphon is dead silent. Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

here are a couple shots of the overflow. The water in the display stays about 1" higher than the water in the box. The water sits about flush with the top of the main overflow elbow and about 1/2-3/4 of the second. It is almost silent. I did end up taking the hose off of the second pipe because the plumbing would not return to a full siphon in the main when I had it on

Awesome, thanks so much for the pics. I will have to play with the heights of the drains. Right now I have them set higher to try to get the water level up but now that I see yours I think I can keep the water level high with the drains lower. Thanks again

main is wide open and secondary is adjusted to keep this level. Also probably has to do with the return pump. Mine is a red Dragon 3 that is at 98%

Been a few months. I have been fighting Calothrix algae and just can't seem to beat it. Nitrates read 0 and phosphates 1. I know it is probably low because the algae is taking it up but it is driving me crazy.

Other than that things are going well. Switched over to Triton on 4 Jan. Some of the SPS are starting to color up nicely. It is such an easy method of running a tank.

My favorite girl is looking good
