Sorry I get to this sooner Kray,

There is a product out called "plastic surgery" and next to Weldon- IMO you can't beat it....

I actually built a coast to coast overflow for a 30cube once and built it with "plastic surgery"..
My family owns a precision machine shop...Sooooo... I built it to fit exact.... problem was I forgot
I only had enough room to place it in the tank sideways and then turn it once I got the overflow under the
tank lip....

Oceanic tank Vs. 1/8" acrylic glued with plastic surgury.......

With No winner... The Oceanic Tank Lost:cry:
Can you say Spider Web Glass......

Ouch! Both of the tank cracks hurt.

I just tossed a 108 that had an end panel crack. It was a custom build and couldn't be saved.

In my experience i found that not all floors are level from foot to foot so i always put a piece of styrofoam under my sumps for piece mind .

Are they acrylic baffles??? If so your problem was the acrylic absorbs water over time and swells causing this... A good friend of mine has a 300 gal glass tank and the acrylic over flow was built so tight it didn't leave any room for expansion and after awhile it blew the bottom seam out.... He was baffled at what happened but when he dismantles the tank he found out the overflow wouldn't fit back in there it was a 1/4" wider than the tank.... Depending on what kind of acrylic it was would depend on how much it would grow cast absorbs about 1% and extruded around 1.6%.... Always make your baffles a 1/4" smaller than the tank to allow for expansion, this leaves about 1/8" on each side for silly/cone :p

Kraylen,
I know we had some negative words, but if you can get a 4x8ftx1/4" sheet of acrylic there are great plans out there to make a 1x4ft 18" high sumps/fuges out ther out of 1 sheet if you are handy and have a few simple tools, a table or saber saw, a router and some clamps, I am sure Troylee can give you the design and if lives close by all the help you need, a sheet is about $125.00 contracters price. If I lived near by I would help you and I have all the tools.

Hey, the past is the past and always is! :)

I got all the tools to work acrylic, just have never welded it.... If I start working with acrylic I will get caught up in building stuff! The price is tempting alone. :)

Lol gnarly crack there, were the baffles too large and not enough space left for silicone expansion? Seems like only explanation for that kind of crack it must have been some constant outward pressure on the glass and it finally couldn't take it anymore.
Maybe the heat caused some of the damage, it did get hot then turned cold over night Monterey weather for you. Glade to see that things worked out Kraylen.

MAn kray boy.. if i was closer to you.. ill race over there with one of my spare tanks.. hwo about robert?? he got plenty right??

Everything is ok for now, I will have to get a 4 foot sump again though... acrylic :p
