Well my tank is almost been set up for about a year now, and I started this project a good while ago, but either way, it all came together today...Finally! The thing about this was, we figured out a while ago that the sump would NOT fit under the tank, so I decided to put it to the right of the tank in the corner. So a little different plans had to be made for plumbing, but my assistant had mad plans. I plan on building some sort of table that I can slide over it, and just slide it out to access it. Anyways, I got a killer deal on a SWC 160 cone the other night, and already had my avast marine reactor running. I did the baffles myself in a 20 long, and am using a CPR overflow box. I am still planning on adding the Reef Keeper that I won at the meeting at Bart's. Need to get some float switches and somehow do an ATO. And am about to hook up some aqua dosers that basically have an I.V. drip on them for Alk and Cal. Huge thanks to Jay(Smyrnareefer) and Kevan(ToXIc) for helping me.

Looking good, i like your swc. I know all about projects being postpone for almost a year. Better late than never

Thanks guys, I had to clean the skimmer up with lots and lots of vinegar. It was super nasty dirty, which to me was a good sign. But with the cleaning and all the new plumbing, I guess its going to take a bit of time to break in. Seems like a lot of oils from all the plastic I just installed.

Bart, I was looking at getting the float switches made for the Reef Keeper from BRS, unless of course these are the ones you have??

Thanks Mike. I had been talking to Jay about it, and we just decided to knock it out yesterday, and the Kevan came by after work. You can come over today and help me clean up the mess. :xd:

Good Job Chris. Looking like a reef tank now. Gotta have all the extras hanging out there :)

That's right Rick, I really just wanted to show off all the freakin equipment it takes to run this thing. :squigglemouth: hahaha

Well, they arent going to be thanking me much until I figure out what's going on with the skimmer. I am only getting really large bubbles and zero skimmate, no matter how I dial it in. I did take it completely apart to clean it, and thought it might need some time to break back in from the vinegar bath, but I thinking I fouled something up when I put it back together. So I just took it offline to see if I can figure it out.

Let it break in... it takes time. Don't take it offline. Mine took a few weeks to get good skimate. Every tank/skimmer is different.
