I hear ya Rick. I was thinking that too, but seeing these random 1 inch bubbles it seemed like I wasnt getting the sealed connection between the bubble plate and the pump.

That sounds similar to what mine was doing. Mine is different than yours but its a similar design. I had the big bubbles and couldn't get any small ones. Then one day it started making fine bubbles and then I was able to adjust the level in the cup for the skimmate.

Just read your other thread, I see what u are thinking. I would still run it and see what happens.

Well, at this point I went to HD, and bought some teflon string and sealed it that way. It might be working, it might not. I can't tell cuz of all the dang bubbles! hahaha, I will leave it be, and see what happens over the next few days...hopefully not weeks.

yeah yeah yeah....

Kevan did you read the thread I posted? maybe I've gone completely crazy, but huge gurgling bubbles are not supposed to be coming out, I don't care how new, or unbroken your skimmer is...

Well after adding the teflon string to the threading, I am now getting the kind of bubbles I want, and this morning there was some dark tea in the collection cup. It's funny how you can get excited over liquified fish poo!
