Sump Sunday!

@cracker use a weld-on for acrylic. gotta melt the plastic together. silicon will always leak on acrylic sooner or later
I have to agree with You. However the panels didn't fit exact. I used weldon for the build So before assembly I roughed up the panels to remove the slick finish. Then the silicone sticks very well at least I thought! I should have installed better bracing. Now I have a better idea on how to build my 2nd sump. There are other issues with how I installed the walls etc . Anyway I'm looking for other options for a replacement. Thanks !

55g sump for my 125g. I don’t have the refugium going yet, it currently holds a pair of clowns and some small bags of siporax.

Life goals right there. I hope to one day have an awesome fish room like this. Very clean and organized I love it!

Here's my dirty sump for my 120 gallon DT. Nine months ago I upgraded to a 55 gal (homemade) from a 40 breeder (also homemade) when I switched over to the Triton method. I needed a larger refugium and I was able to work in twenty two gallons worth of space from the 55 gallon tank. Had to take a side off the stand to get the sump under there but I was able the to convert it into an additional door for easy access to the gate valve for adjustments with the herbie system. The lower height of the 40 was much easier to work in but you gotta do what you gotta do. Running herbie overflow, with Sicce Syncra SDC 7.0 return, Vertex Omega 180i skimmer, Kessil H380, and Tunze ATO

Happy #sumpsun everyone! What did you do for your sump today?

Happy Sunday everybody! It's been a while since I've done a #sumpsun so let's see those sumps! Cleaned out the first and second chamber of mine last week, going to tackle the return chamber this week :)

DIY 20 aqueon sump with plexi baffles.
Double filter socks, bubble magus 5 skimmer,
Jebao/Jecod DCT 3000 return pump with check valve.
Theres a cobalt 900 pump in the fuge section for some turbulance too.
Sad fuge being replaced with drop in Algae scrubber...eventually... $$.
Its got a jbj nano light in there which worked great on my biocube but the chaeto doesnt like to grow much with it in this tank.

Fixed that for ya!!

17g Rubbermaid bin. Mag 12 return, marineland heater I think. Filters sock and some live rock. I've since removed most of the rock and the carbon reactor, and switched to a carbon bag. This is the sump for my 20 long
