what is this thing on my anthias?

Definitely gonna need a better pic of the "thing" in question. A detailed description would be helpful too.

I'm going to close your other thread about this, so attention can be better focused on this thread.

I believe prazipro is used to treat some parasites, but not all. Before jumping to conclusions and medicating unknown ailments please post a better pic so someone can help identify what is wrong.

Sorry about the other post I thought it didn't post and it didn't show up. I will take a better picture when I get home

it's hard to get a good picture of it here's the best I could get

Is it that bulge in the middle? Does it look like it's a growth on the outside or inside of the fish?

Also, how long have you had this fish? Can you QT, if need be?

Ya it looks like it's on the inside what do you think it is?

Lots of possibilities - internal parasites, a tumor or some other type of growth, an internal bacterial infection, or even a virus (Lymphocystis can grow over internal organs).

How can I find out what it is

No way of knowing definitively without cutting the fish open, removing whatever it is (or taking a culture of it) and examining that under a microscope.

Practically speaking, you have two choices:

1. Leave the fish alone and hope it's natural immune system can resolve whatever this is.

2. QT the fish and start treating with a mix of medications (Furan-2/Kanaplex/Metronidazole combo is where I would start)

Option #2 is basically trial & error. Treat and see if something helps. Not ideal, but sometimes your only choice.

I don't have a quarantine tank so I hope it resolves it's self

Marine C and garlic extreme will boost immune system and give your fish a better fighting chance of possibly beating whatever the growth may be...but also like said before it's trial and error at this point without a real diagnosis. Good luck im following along with hope for you!

it has yellow inside of the bump now does that mean anything?

Probably not - if it turns white or red, then that would be a sign of a bacterial infection developing.
