maybe this weekend i'll try my hand at taking pictures of my fish....i haven't tried that yet with this camera since i got it back in december! lol

Dude your tank is looking sweet man!! I love it.

thanks guys, all of the comments are much appreciated. i worked really hard on this set up. and i feel as if a HUUUUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders, b/c all i do is sit back and watch this sucker.......which gives me more time to spend on here! ;)

that is one clean sandbed :D tanks lookin good al

well, it was a brand spankin new bag of sand.....all i used was 1, 30lb bag. the sand bed is pretty shallow, esspecially in the front......which is almost too shallow.

EXCELLENT AWESOME STELLAR tank... :D :) :D

thanks marv! but it will only be "excellent awesome steller" when i put some of those excellent awesome steller frags from you in there! hehe ;)

This clown fish is actually my girlfriend's fish she had for a year in her nano tank before the tank cracked and we tore it down. She calls her Nemequa.......lol

well, i think i FINALLY got my skimmer dialed in correctly.....not sure what i did to get it working, but i ripped the entire thing out of the sump, cleaned it out, put it back in, and made a few minor changes...

i took the UV off, and put the MJ600 back on. then i put the clamp which goes on the air hose closer to the skimmer body, i had it hanging on the very end of the air hose........would this make a difference?

i dont even have it set up for wet skimming, and i just pulled out an entire cup of nog from the past 2 days, which is more skimmate that i've gotten in the last month COMBINED probably!

i know my skimmer has some catching up to do, as i've seen some algae starting to grow in the tank. :(

anyways, here's some new pics.....i should have take a pic of the skimmate though.

new corals!!

when I moved my tank, I gave some corals I couldn't stand to lose to a friend to hold on to for a while.

I finally got a chance to go back and pick them up, and in the process I ended up leaving the palys and a couple sps frags so I could trade for some other cool corals.

I left behind the palys cuz I'm getting a little burned out on them due to some algae issues and lack of room on the bottom of the tank. And I left behind 2 sps frags b/c they were on frag magnets, and I have no where to put those.

So in all, I left behind:
-2 polyp armagedon (wasn't looking good anyways)
-10 polyps of candy apple red
-10 polyps of rainbow
-1" frag of purple bonsai (already have another frag of it)
-1" frag of crayola plana table (was on a frag mag)

but in return for all that, i got a frag of a sweet alien eye chalice, a frag of a cool acro chesterfieldness (sp?), and the promise of 2 more SWEEEEEEEEEET butt chalice frags when they heal up. :marv

my montipora undata has grown quite a bit! and its finally starting to develop that green tint in the center. this is one of my favorite corals.

montipora setosa....also grew a tiny bit

IMG_1786.jpg

flower petal monti.....this thing was on deaths door, and has now completely covered the frag plug which is amazing, b/c when i left it, it was only covering about 1/4 of the frag plug.

also picked up my tyree watermelon chalice frag that was saved from a certain death. and it looks GREAT!! :D:marv

don't think it grew any, but when i gave it to him it was completely white and you could see skeleton. so at least its colored back up, maybe grew a tiny tiny bit.
