Suspecting this is likely not a Cynarina

Possibly lobophyllia? Seems to be relatively hardy, extends tentacles in disc at night, puffs up occasionally. Fast feeding response. My wife bought this at a show. It's really coloring up

Looks like acanthophyllia often confused with scoly

I'm not much on ID had a beautiful red cynarina until a few days ago when it just up and died. That does look like the lobos that I have had looks nothing like my cynarina. The cynarina had an almost translucent appearance when inflated

EDIT: my acanthophylia have more of a wrinkled type of flesh. But like I said I'm not much at coral ID acanthophylia on the right trachy on the left, at least sold as such

Most definitely acantho since it has the visible flesh extension and the color is distinctive to that of acanthophyllia. Beautiful nonetheless!

Septa would be best but it's happy rn and the tank is recovering from an alk spike to 17 so don't want to disturb it too much

Too much texture on that close up picture to be a scolly. Acanthophyllia demonstrates the textured bumps seen on the close up photo.

Excuse my foolishness - meant to put Scoly in title instead of Cynarina. This looks nothing like a Cynarina, and my wife said it was labeled as Scolymia. AND I have had Cynarina...oof. I'm not familiar with the flesh of the mantle being spiky like that in scoly but that doesn't mean they aren't. The top of the disc being very flat also is relevant

It gets to at least 3-4 inches right now. Potentially lacera ?

Agreed, leaning towards acanthophyllia. Highly doubt it's a scoly.
