Swallowtail (possible brook)

Okay, I'm acclimating her now. Then FW dip. Into Qt for observation. Hopefully I can get some good pics of her for you guys. Should I plan on getting meds tomorrow? If so what should I get. I did purchase fungus cure (Acriflavine). I have Prazipro and metroplex.

Do you have copper? I would get that, if not. And maybe some kanaplex or Furan-2 just in case.

If you have Acriflavine already, it might be helpful as a bath after the freshwater dip before she hits the QT. It's an antiseptic, so if any parasites are dislodged in the fw dip it will help "clean" the bites and prevent infection.

Acriflavine

Edit. Just realized it might be a little late for this now, but for future reference :)

Great advice here thus far, I'm not needed but I'm posting anyway! :D

Here are more pics of her.

One thing I noticed, she wasn't as aggressive when I fed her this morning as she was yesterday at the LFS.

So copper is the meds I should go with? I kind of afraid of using it.

I'm going to wait for a second opinion. I feel like copper would be a good idea just in case her tank mate had something nasty like velvet...

But, I also feel like there might be something "bacterial" going on here. You can treat antibiotics and copper at the same time, but I'd like to see what the others think.

This could be stress related, I had a beautiful, healthy Lamarck angel that ate at the LFS. Got it home and it broke out in Lympho and didn't eat for a week [emoji15]

I've found flake foods to help with getting picky angels to eat. That, and fresh clams.

Since it's not really symptomatic, I personally would probably just start with kanaplex and go from there. If it becomes worse, you could add in Furan-2 and Metroplex to widen the spectrum.

I got the kanaplex, should I put in the tank or should I put it in her food?

Dose the water directly. You are going to want to dose the full amount every 48 hours for 10 days. Watch the ammonia carefully, and try to line up your water changes with the days you are dosing. If you need to do a water change on an "off" day you can, just replace the medication for the amount of water you take out.

In the second and fourth photo I see at least two spots that look like ich around the face - have chelated copper or CP ready!
