Man I love this skimmer...just can't get the setting right...all the "gunk" is in the neck and there is a lot of gunk. Whisper quiet, easy to clean, I recommend it to everyone, I just gotta keep messing with the settings to get it to the right skimming level I guess.

What is the depth you have it at?I had to play with it a bit also but found my sweet spot at 8 inches.

Hey Jay, what is the level of water its sitting in? Just make sure the air is all the way open and you should be able to turn the gate valve to raise the water level inside the skimmer body.

Heres my Mini-S
I got this about 2 weeks ago from Luke!! I started right away with the red PW and Aquamaxx volute. It rocked for 2 days. I took the cup off to clean it, restarted and it just kept overflowing. It wouldnt stop after 10 minutes so I swapped the stock PW back in to let it finish breaking in. Since last Friday, I havent had to clean the collection cup.
I am hopeing its just breaking in. Ill leave it alone till Monday, then I am going to throw the red PW back in and just run it wide open. I have a 150 SPS dominat system with 9 fish, 2 large tangs, the rest just little pinfish. Skimmer sits in exactly 10" of water. Im hopeing it was just something on my hands maybe becuase right now, I am just going batty. I figured 10 days was more than enough to get some kinda performance out of it. Im not giving up yet. I know these are awsome skimmers and it was a great deal Luke was able to give.
