Hey guys. So I bought this mummys eye a few months ago. Look great nice and colorful chalice. In the past month or so it's has slowly gotten more and more puffy. It's to the point now where it's lost a lot of its color. It dosnt seem to be STNing or RTNing but just stays looking this way 24/7. I tested my tank full board and nothing was off or bad. I took it in to my local shop and they said the same thing my water parameters are on point. I'm running the XR15 radion Pro my lights are running at 70% I have a mixed reef tank. The chalice is near the bottom. Maybe to much light or to little? I tried moving it down a little to see. A friend said it looks happy and healthy just not as colorful. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for looking.
Tyler.

I'll look again at what I have when I get home I had my alk , Cal and mag written down but when the shop did a full scale test on nitrates and phosphates and everything they said everything was where it should be.

I would look at chemistry first. Next u would say it's the lighting. Most chalices come from deeper water. They have to be acclimated to higher intensity light. Any time you adjust lighting on coral there are chances colors will very. I'm no expert by any means on chalice corals. I have 2 in my tank. 1 rainbow and 1 green one. The rainbow was originally brown when I got it for free. It really has changed day and night difference. It's actually gorgeous now. But I put it in a shady area at the bottom of my tank. I have it in a 110 gallon with 2 xr 15 pros that I run at 60% intensity.

Thanks John I appreciate it! I can't complain to much as it isn't dead lol! So that's the good thing.

Ya I miss the Zoa garden a lot! Was my pride and joy! I placed the clam in there and it would tip over so I started glueing a few corals down to hold it upright then I had an idea to surround it. Came out awesome!
