You can up the mysis with a paring knife"San Francisco Bay Brand Frozen Mysis Shrimp Mini Cube" too big? Shoot.
I added my first round of AlgaeBarn copepods and OceanMagik last night. And I do have "New Life Spectrum Probiotix Fish Food Small Pellet" but they float on the top and he kicks it on the bottom. That is why I haven't tried them yet. Should I turkey baster them down?
Thanks.
What about the pellets and a baster? He isn't putting himself out in the water column to catch anything already. You can up the mysis with a paring knife
When I had pellets that didn’t sink I would put them in a small container with some tank water."San Francisco Bay Brand Frozen Mysis Shrimp Mini Cube" too big? Shoot.

I have a big ball of red ogo macro in there for starters. But not sure he eats that. I’m going to try soaking the pellets. Thanks for the recommendation. And I bought a turkey baster.I didn't see mine eat probably for the first two months, but I would see him grazing on the rocks and back glass. Now however he is a little pig and eats everything.
I wouldn't worry about food as long as you have some film on your glass/a bit of algae on your rocks.
I soaked the tiny pellets and turkey basted in again today. I saw him grab one off his perch. And he’s clearly alive. Knock on wood. I’ll try to get him nori soon.most algae eaters will also go for nori, you can usually find it in the grocery store.
My guy hangs out in a hole in a rock the same exact way. It's hilarious. My new guy ate frozen nutramar his first feeding today.![]()
