With skimmers I would stick with a major brand in other words not the cheapest out there. Also get something rated higher than what ur tank is for esp if u are planning on a heavy bioload

Ok how is the ats being fed water. If the ats is fed water first then you could maybe skip the filter sock as the pods would probably feed on what the sock catches

That would work to. You will know how effective your setup is by how fast the algae grows in the scrubber and how dark the skim mate is

yes very good means you have an excellent skimmer also means you have lots of organics in the water
