Tang opinions

If it was up to me I'd rescue every single fish I could from Mr one eye to Mrs no fins but have learned my lessons over the years.
We had our discussions about the powder blue before. Just plain mean, determined smart fish.
Once again so sorry about what happened but I want you to wait until the LARGE upgrade before you go tang crazy.
Keep us updated.

Ah okay, 3 tangs is too much you think?

Probably not if they start small.
You're a great fish keeper and I think they'll be fine in your care I have confidence in that I just want you to remember the personalities of these guys that's all.
Really just don't want you going through anymore drama is all.

You and me both, thats why Im asking questions! I appreciate all input. And thank you, I like to think I learn from mistakes and never just willy nilly put a fish in the the tank I like to research and get opinions! Especially on personality. Im very dedicated to purples, they are my favorite. I miss the one I had so much, and Im committed to rescuing the purple at the LFS! My PBT would have fit well in my tank before the crash with the personalities of my other tangs. I did lots of research on them and decided to take the challenge with one! I just want to have another tang if possible. Open to recommendations. Im trying to put together a semi to aggressive tank.

Planning on tangs, one angel (regal as I had one that I lost or majestic as its more aggressive, open to opinions). A pair of blue throat triggers, a foxface, two clowns, and an eel. Would love some input with personalities and mixing them

Eel is a chain link

Heart ache is probably the word instead of drama ?

Tangs are beautiful
I was the same and I would also take in every fish needing help .
It caused more heartache and disease . Not sure if the fish were just too far gone or is it was my fault . But it was a lot ….

Having healthy fish and not introducing new issues has made this hobby much more interesting .

Ive narrowed it down. For the third tang Ive been looking at the lieutenant, lavender, and caribbean blue. Anyone have input on which would fit best with my kind of tank and goal Im going for?

@vetteguy53081 any input seems how you have 25 tangs lol

Okay friends, tentative stocking for my tank as always open to opinions or suggestions!!

Tangs : PBT and purple for sure. Looking at a blue caribbean tang or a lavender tang (would love some input on which is better for the kind of tank I want)

Angels: either a majestic angel or a regal angel depending on who would fit best in the tank

Triggers: male and female blue throat pair

2 clownfish

Chainlink eel

Magnificent foxface

Aim to do a semi aggressive to aggressive tank. Tank only has some zoas as of now for corals. I would like to convert it into a reef tank, I know angels are a risk for sure. If I got a majestic angel Im looking at one from Biota.

Also would consider moving my dwarf lionfish to this tank as she gets bigger but shes really content in the rock work in my 70 if Im being honest. She runs that tank!

Edit: really looking between the two angels as to who would fit better with these tank mates. My Annabelle wasnt a shy regal at all and put my big purple in check before I lost them all in the crash. But I know that depends on the fish and the majestic seems to have a more aggressive temperament. Would love yo do both honestly but I want to keep the stock lighter than my first go with this tank, and these are bigger fish and I want whats good for the fish themselves! If a fish isnt a good fit let me know and why!

IMO
the orange shoulder is much hardier if we were to compare it with the pbt

Powder blue is one of those fish I love . But have tried many times with no success

Just wanted to give a complete commendation on the rescue tang. Not many do that anymore.
Totally off topic but here is my rescue tank.
My 10 year old clownfish was rescued twice.
2 nd time my coral beauty beat the snot out of him so clownfish went in sump until I got this tank running in line, same sump with big tank.
I'd never had corals ever. All of these were supposed to be thrown away at my LFS but the fish manager was my buddy and he'd call me up and I'd go get them.
Everything in this tank I got for free.
Like I said, I had no experience with coral so, thanks to everyone on here, I threw them in and away I went.
There's also an LTA in there in the back.
No matter what you do go for it good luck and happy reefing!

Nice! Yeah Im kinda known at my two LFS for rescuing different or abused fish. My blue hippo was a rescue, he looked horrible when I got him. I was so upset I lost him to the electrical issue. I rescued a 12 year old clown fish and a clown they have had for over a year yesterday just to have something in my tank and I love clowns. Great pair, the 12 year old female is probably the cutest clown ever in the face! The other is just beautiful. The big one I named Vegas, the smaller more white one is Spade.

I also scour FB for tank breakdowns and stuff to rescue fish others wont take. Wanted to set a 55 gallon up dedicated to helping abused fish recover then find their home, but i got sick and had major surgery so that took a back burner

My lfs has an Atlantic blue in his DT. Very beautiful fish and Massive I should say about the size of a large dinner plate. Definitely the boss amongst the other tangs as well maybe due to size. :)
Oh I didnt realize they got that big!

Hey all, doing research for my stock for my 125 six foot that I just lost due to power issues. NOTE JUST INFO WILL FIX MY PIWER ISSUES BEFORE I PUT ANY FISH IN. I have a purple tang HLLE rescue on hold at my LFS. I have a powder blue in my QT tank. I fell in love with a Lieutenant tang. I was wondering about a caribbean blue tang to add to the mix. They seem pretty rare but are beautiful. Anyone have any experiences with this? Will be adding tangs together to minimize aggression.
I have a Tomini Flame Fin Tang love it
