Well you can always just create a better environment for them and adopt them out later. I did that with a Blue tang that I rescued from petco. Well haven’t adopted it out yet, but the day is coming fast.

I had a scopas and let me tell you now:I guess I am not into deformed fish. If I have a choice, I only buy fish that will fully recovered. Sometimes, I don't have a choice, especially when I mail order animals sight unseen.
I may get the Scopas Tang but not this Sailfin. I don't have a lot of experience with Scopas tangs, I always fine Yellow and Purple tangs more attractive. If this Scopas tank remain this color, it is a very beautiful fish, but fish always change color in my tank, with color always become more vivid. In this particular case darker coloration will, IMO, decrease the attractiveness of this particular Scopas.
