Tank bullies- now what?

What I'm noticing in my tank is that all of my fish have been fine together for like 1.5 years but now as the fish have transitioned from juvenile to adult, several of them are trying to establish dominance in the reef over others. I just share this with those stocking a new tank so they can be aware that things might start off friendly in the reef neighborhood but as the fish get older they might get more territorial. It makes me wonder what old grumpy fish do in the reef while their old grumpy caretaker sits and stares at them talking to them.

I’ve had to rehome a couple of fish for bullying to the point the bullied fish gave up the bucket…. It’s heartbreaking for me. Currently every fish gets along with respect to designated territorie and tho there is fussing that occurs, no harm is done.

Has anyone had time out actually work? I have a bully Gem Tang that I removed and have him in a quarantine tank. It's been nearly a month now and want to give him another shot. I'm thinking of putting him in an acclimation box at first for a week so the other fish will get comfortable seeing him and not be afraid.

What do you do once you have a tank bully and they become a problem?

For me- Eviction time. Its time to go and find a new home.
Isolation - Give them a time out first and see if they after a couple of weeks have changed their attitude.
What do you do ?
I give them some time to figure out the pecking order but bring the mirrors out right away! It says usually my powder blue tang being a jerk but usually the figure it out. If it gets too bad, one fish is coming out.

Had a clownfish that was too aggressive. I caught the fish and put the fish into a net breeder . The fish was there for about three weeks and after releasing the fish, the aggression was gone
