So I am preparing to be away from the tank for a vacation. :flushed-face::(. I have someone coming to feed the fish once a day while we are out. He is not experienced with caring for fish, so I am making it as easy as possible. I "joked" with my husband about getting a camera so I could check in on our fish from time to time.

As we get closer, I'm giving it more and more serious thought. I do not have any automation in my tank. It's as basic as basic can get. I'd like to be able to make sure the powerhead and return are working, all fish are accounted for, etc.... would you invest in a cheap camera to set up and check in on the tank while you are out? If so, please provide me some recommendations. Ideally not looking to spend more than $50..... Is that realistic?

As always.....

Just stay away from Wyze.

Thanks I did see that post. I honestly still considered it for $30 and if it is just staring at a tank while we are out of town, I don't know that I care a TON? Maybe there is something Im not thinking about?

The most important thing for me would be plug and play. I don't have alexas or google plus accounts. So the ease of setup and use is just as important.

whats a eufy eco system?
I have other eufy products in use. There's a billion and one different cameras like this so you can go with whichever one you trust for security. I happen to like Eufy due to it not being cloud based, and it's security protocols.

Do you trust then to inform and fix future vulnerabilities? I sure don't.
If it is true it was a known issue and they didn't do anything about it, then yeah I agree. I don't support dishonest companies.... :::cough vibrant:::::

We have "KASA". It's great when you're away and want to show people the tank. As another post stated is that you can walk someone through the instructions while watching them.
