Tank is crashing, help? Just tested and all parameters are good. Alk 9.8, calcium 405, mag 1350. Only thing I’ve done is dosed 12 ml acropower last night. Tank is an 80 Rimless with a 40 breeder sump. 1 year old.

How about nitrate and phosphate? Have you checked for ammonia? What exactly is happening in this crash?

All my fish are fine. It’s just my coral. All lps and Zoas are closed up, all sps are turning white monti’s, birdsnest, stylo.

Describe crashing? What are you treating with the flux? Are parameters different than your normal parameters?

Tell us more about your system such as size and equipment and why you are treating with reef flux. How much reef flux are you dosing? Are you running carbon?

80 Rimless with 40 breeder sump, treating a very small amount of Bryopsis with 10 200mg reef flux capsules. Run a curve 5 skimmer, dual brs reactor with phosguard and carbon but carbon is not online during this treatment. I use chaeto and the phosguard for nutrient control.

80 Rimless with 40 breeder sump run curve 5 skimmer and dual brs reactor but have no carbon online bc I’m doing the treatment.

Other things to consider:
Have you checked your TDS? The RODI might be off or in need of membrane changes.
Do you have small children in the house?
Have your refinished any woodwork or done any remodeling lately? Or pest control?

Any tank treatment can have weird effects, personally id do a wc and run some carbon. Could be the reef flux could be your tank not liking carbon than all of a sudden no carbon. Could toxins from an algae. Too many variables to pin point tbh.

I just changed my di resin 1 water change ago and 0 tds and haven’t done water change in 2 weeks bc of reef flux treatment. We only have a 14 year old in house. Only remodeling we’ve done was added a covered deck on back of house last month.
