Tank moving advice

Don't reuse the sand and the last 20% water that remains in the tank.
Use only 50% of old water and if you keep the LR underwater you should be ok.

WAQUARIUMOW...I AM MOVING A 45 GAL CUBE DOWN TO NEW ORLEANS, ABOUT 200 MILES IN JANUARY, AND I AM SCARED TO DEATH...ALSO WILL HAVE TO MOVE A 20GAL IM SPS TANK I HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH...THIS IS DUE TO CONTRACT JOB COMING TO AN END AND I GOT CARRIED AWAY WITH MY WANT FOR A NICE AQUARIUM TO LOOK AT WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK, SO ..AND I REALLY OVER DID IT BUT NOW I AM AS NERVOUS AS A YOU KNOW WHAT IN CHURCH , TRYING TO PLAN THIS, I ANTICIPATE LOSING CORALS MORE THAN FISH ...ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.....SHAKING LIKE A BAD PAIR OF DICE WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT...

Looks like I'm too late! Was going to say don't use the previous sand bed! I had problems keeping inverts alive.

Did you reuse the sandbed or get new?

Good deal! Hopefully it stays that way! :)
I think my problem was that I mixed the old sandbed up because I switched everything over to another tank. Thinking it probably just stirred up a bunch of bad stuff.

It got a bit stirred up but nothing really leeched into the water.
